About RCHI

Skip breadcrumb navigation In 2003, The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents gave the A&M Health Science Center the authorization to create a powerful new resource for physicians and health care facilities operating in rural areas. This resource has been designated the Rural and Community Health Instititute (RCHI).

 

Since its inception RCHI has grown into an organization that extends across the state of Texas with a present or past relationship in 99 communities. RCHI continues to work to create frutful partnerships with rural and community physicians and clinics.  For small or rural facilities that may find it difficult to produce certain programs or services on their own, RCHI provides support in the following areas:

 

  • Quality and patient safety
  • Healthcare delivery services such as:
    • Strategic planning
    • Surveys
    • Peer Review
    • Utilization Management
  • Education
  • Data Management, data analysis and serving as a data repository
  • Healthcare policy research
  • Medical staff affairs
