Diabetes Lectureship Symposium
The Distinguished Lectureship in Diabetes was Nov. 6-8, 2002, at various Texas A&M Health Science Center locations. Funded by an unrestricted educational grant from Pfizer, Inc., the lectureship brought Michael Stern, M.D., one of the pre-eminent diabetes clinician-researchers in the world, to interact with senior administrators, faculty, staff and students. Dr. Stern was at Temple on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at College Station on Nov. 7, and at HSC-Institute of Biosciences and Technology at Houston on Nov. 8. Dr. Stern gave lectures and interacted with all interested faculty and students at all locations.
This event took place in conjunction with the Scott & White and HSC Sympiosum on Diabetes, held Nov. 6 in Temple. (See below for details.)

Scott & White and HSC Symposium: Diabetes in the Health Science Center - Varied Interests, Common Goals
On the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, all healthcare professionals and researchers involved with diabetes had an opportunity to visit with their counterparts and share information on diabetes-related activities. This session will be a catalyst for future collaboration and cooperation on diabetes in the HSC.
