Ms. Wilemon serves as Director of Quality Assurance/Patient Safety for the Texas A&M Health Science Center, Rural and Community Health Institute. She has more than 17 years of health care experience, with more than 14 years in senior leadership. Ms. Wilemon’s experience includes acute care, home health, rehabilitation and long-term acute care. She has a strong background in clinical management, quality improvement, performance improvement, risk management and utilization management.
In addition to serving as Director of clinical services, Ms. Wilemon has served as Director of quality improvement/risk management and Director of case management. She is responsible for assisting in the development of quality improvement/performance improvement tools in the rural community and has consulted with rural hospitals on improving their existing quality improvement programs for state licensure and survey preparation. During her tenure at a rural hospital, Ms. Wilemon assisted in building and implementing an electronic medical record (EMR).
Ms. Wilemon is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor in Business Administration (B.B.A.) and a graduate of Victoria College. She has successfully completed the Intermountain Healthcare training program in Health Care Delivery Improvement. Ms. Wilemon is licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Texas and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
